Be Ready - Tualatin Emergency Preparedness Fair

Noon to 4 pm

The 2024 Tualatin Emergency Preparedness Fair (TEPF) will be held September 7, 2024 from Noon to 4 pm.

The fair is family-friendly, admission-free, and runs from noon to 4 pm.

 

Fair visitors will enjoy the many exhibitor booths, hands-on activities, door prize drawings, free giveaways and activities that will teach children and adults more about emergency preparedness.

 

The event is sponsored by Tualatin Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Tualatin Public Library, and the City of Tualatin Public Works.  CERT is a community of volunteers focused on preparing the citizens, families, neighborhoods, and employees in the Tualatin area for emergency and disaster situations. We work to increase preparedness through community events to present, demonstrate and display information, educate attendees, and offer learning materials and aids.

Family-Friendly, Admission-Free

The first 200 attendees will receive a CERT “Be Ready” Go Bag from our Welcome Booth to fill up with goodies and take home! 

 

Attendees can sign up for a free door prize drawings.  Prizes include 2 tickets to 2024/25 Portland Trail Blazer Game, Fred Meyer Gift Certificates, emergency prep supplies, and so much more.

 

The Tualatin Food Pantry is one of our exhibitors.  Help the community prepare for emergencies by bringing a shelf-stable food item.

 

Fair visitors will enjoy more than 30 vendor and exhibitor booths that will help educate about preparedness, have informational handouts, safety items for sale and many will have free giveaways. Come out for an entertaining day and visit your favorite exhibitors including: Mud Bay Pets, GoStayKits, NW Outward Bound, OSU Extension, Tualatin Girl Scouts, Books On Wheels and NW Prep.

 

Support some local small businesses like: Mountain Wave Search & Rescue, Next Adventure, SAM Medical, Prepared NW, Side Quest Escape, and Solunaken Wellness.

 

The City of Tualatin, Washington & Clackamas Counties,Tualatin CIOs, Tualatin and Cedar Hills Neighborhood Ready and the local utilities will all have information booths as well. And there are many, many more…….

Tualatin Public Works will be there as well. Check out a variety of Tualatin City and Utility vehicles that may include: TVF&R fire trucks, police cars and motorcycles, dump trucks and a bulldozer.

 

Stop by and see the CERT Ham & GMRS Radio Team with their solar-powered station and learn about what they do to ensure that the Tualatin Amateur Radio Network will keep lines of communication open in the face of any disaster. 

Enjoy a hands-on training in soy candle making in the Maker Space in the library while watching videos on emergency preparedness.  These tea light candles can be used for emergency heaters, cooking, as well as light.  Tea lights are easy to store, versatile, and are often our goto candle for emergency preparedness.  Learn more on Saturday, September 7 in the Maker Space.
